Geeeet the brisket! This was my first time trying Seorai. They had a pretty solid of meat options here; note everything is a la carte, not AYCE! We made reservations, but the store wasn't too packed for a Tuesday dinner. We got the beef combo set to share among 3, in addition to an order of seafood pancake on the side. This was more than enough for us, we ended up walking away with 2 boxes of leftovers lol. The brisket was definitely the best meat option out of the 3 meats that were included in the combo. Beef was super tender and I liked pairing it with the ssamjang! The seafood pancake was good, not great; I'd probably pass on ordering this next time. The servers were pretty friendly. They were quick to refill our banchan too. Ordering is done via an iPad on your table, and food comes out quickly overall. Ventilation isn't the best here, so be prepared to smell like BBQ!

Pro Tip for Large Groups: If you've got a big crew craving Korean BBQ, this spot is a game-changer! We secured two tables through reservation (absolutely necessary for large groups), and opted for the Mix Combo for each table. Here's the brilliant part - when you split a large group across multiple tables with Mix Combos, the value proposition rivals AYCE places, but with significantly higher quality! The format here is elevated KBBQ - servers handle all the grilling, which means you can focus on socializing instead of worrying about burning the meat. The system is impressively organized: they cook everything on a central grill and distribute perfectly cooked portions to everyone at the table, ensuring no one misses out on the good stuff. Standout Elements: - The Long Rib Showstopper: Arrives partially cooked and is finished tableside, with the fat rendered to perfection - Premium Pork Cuts: The pork belly and jowl notably outshine typical AYCE offerings - Solid Beef Selection: Brisket and beef belly maintain high standards - Extensive Sides: Quality banchan, though the fish cake leans sweet - Professional Table Service: Expert meat cooking and distribution What really sets this place apart is their ability to handle large groups efficiently. The staff orchestrates everything like a well-oiled machine - from managing multiple grills to ensuring everyone gets their fair share of each cut. It's impressive how they maintain quality and service standards even with big parties. Large Group Strategy: - Make reservations well in advance - Consider splitting into multiple tables with Mix Combos - Let the servers handle the cooking (they're pros!) - Expect generous portions that keep coming The service deserves special mention - even during peak Saturday dinner hours, they maintain their composure and attention to detail. They're particularly great at making special occasions memorable. While it's pricier than your typical KBBQ spot, the quality of meat, professional service, and ability to handle large groups with grace makes it worth the premium. Just remember - for big groups, reservations aren't just recommended, they're essential!

Seorai is one of our go-to's for Korean bbq! We've gone multiple times and have yet to have a bad experience. We usually order brisket, pork belly, and marinated galbi. We order rice, lettuce wrap, cheese corn, and some sort of soup. They cook your meat for you. The meat quality is good. They have plenty of seats but expect a long wait during peak hours and weekends. We went recently- a change they have is you order your stuff through an iPad at the table. It's not AYCE, but the pricing isn't too bad. I know there are plentyyyyyy of kbbq places (let alone just along El Camino Real), but trust me when I say Seorai is one of my top restaurants that I go to when I need my kbbq fix.

One of my fav spots in the Bay Area for kbbq!! Everything is so delicious from the kalbijjim to their fried chicken and all of their meats. Everything is so tasty and I love their banchan since it's always very fresh. Definitely a place to go with a party of at least 3-4+ so you can try different things. What's nice is it's next to sulbing so you can grab dessert afterwards too :)

Another great and relaxing meal at Seorai. The parking was bad, because of all the popular restaurants and businesses in this tiny strip mall. The service was nice and friendly. She cooked all the meat for us which made it relaxing and trouble free. I'm usually the one grilling the meat. The Beef Combo with soybean paste soup, spicy ricecake, seafood pancake, and Boneless shortribs was all fantastic like it always is. The banchan was good as well.

Great higher end Korean bbq where the server cooks all the meat for you. Banchan were high quality. The fish cakes were a bit too sweet for me and oversauced but still tasty. Side dishes like steamed egg, kimchi fried rice, corn cheese, and the short rib stew were all pretty solid but nothing spectacular. Overall the meat quality is pretty good. Brisket and beef belly were on par with every decent KBBQ place I've been to here in the bay. Pork belly and pork jowl were a step up from higher quality AYCE places to be certain. The best is the long rib, which comes out a huge whole rib half cooked already before they finish it on the table grill. Our server cooked it well to render all the intramuscular fat beautifully. The staff cook all the meats on one grill and then divide it up and deliver platters of meat to all sides of the table, which I find a very organized way of serving a large group. Best thing is the service! We came at the end of a dinner shift on a Saturday and they did very well to ensure all the cooking and serving went smoothly, which can be a challenge at a KBBQ restaurant. They also helped make a birthday very special at our table. Hats off to their staff!

Came by for lunch the other day and it was a decent, albeit a touch sweaty experience. Seorai is Chungdam's sister restaurant and features lunch specials in addition to BBQ tables. A/C was good upon arrival and the restaurant became hot and sweaty midway during our meal... Dining is available indoors exclusively and some staff opted to wear a mask and gloves. The interior of the restaurant is modern and clean. Started off with the banchan assortment which was phenomenal. There were fried fish, fish cakes, kimchee, pickled cuccumbers etc. Opted for the marinated long rib and it was decent. Staff presented the marinated and charred short rib on the BBQ grill and cooked it in front of us. Flavoring was decent and the marbling on the meat was good. The seafood pancake was also decent. Plenty of seafood and not too oily. The seafood tofu soup was also decent. ~$43/head after tax and gratuity for lunch.
